A Gracious Donation and a Worthy Cause from Visions Reverse Mortgages
The 2nd Annual Labor Day 5k was held at Lake Mohawk in Sparta, NJ on September 4th in an effort to raise money for the Lake Mohawk Preservation Foundation. The race is a Labor Day morning tradition in Lake Mohawk Plaza.
In attendance were over 300 runners, walkers, and volunteers. There were dozens of event sponsors, including New Jersey’s own Residential Home Funding Corp. Reverse Mortgage Division, located in Pine Brook, NJ.
Labor Day 2017 was a beautiful late summer day, with warm temperatures and low humidity – a perfect day for a road race. The majestic Lake Mohawk Plaza served as the start and finish point for the 5 kilometer out-and-back race. The relatively flat course proved to be fast, with several runners posting personal records. Funds raised were over $7,000, beating last year’s records of $5,000.
The Labor Day 5K, sponsored by the law firm Askin & Hooker, LLC is a New Jersey Non-Profit recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Their mission is to promote environmental stewardship and environmental education for the preservation of Sussex County’s natural resources. In fulfilling their mission, they are once again proud to support organizations with a similar mission, like the Lake Mohawk Preservation Foundation.
Askin & Hooker, LLC expressed their gratitude to Visions Reverse Mortgages for the generous donation.
